PROVENANCE
The PROVENANCE range is released by the DL-sub company THE MCGIBBON’S. McGibbon was their mother’s maiden name whose family came from Islay.
Through its distinctive labelling, the PROVENANCE collection highlights the particular distillation of the seasons through Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter. It has a clear standardbottle and a white 6-edged paper box. The year of the destillation and the bottling can be found on the label and additionally there is a small picture of the season (spring, summer, autumn and winter) when it was destillated. Its common bottlingstrength is 46% and no chill-filtering or coloring has been used in this series. Further, there is a small tasting note on the label.
This ever-increasing range of single cask and “small batch” bottlings emerged from tastings at the office and at home - recreationally, a real labour of love for us. Well, it beats DIY and gardening, doesn’t it?
Pleasingly, this has been a great success, so we reckon it pays to take your work home.
