Oily and peated initially on the nose – it warms to more of the same plus a wee hint of sweetness. Toothsome and phenolic to a point just short of creosote on the early palate – it moves on to an ashy and cindery character just before its finish which is less dramatic – being sweet and “bandages” with a light ash covering.
